Murattu Kaalai (2010 film)

Murattu Kaalai is an upcoming Tamil action film directed by Selvabharathy. A remake of the same-titled 1980’s Rajinikanth-starrer, it stars Sundar C. and Sneha in the lead roles. This film is scheduled to release on 12 November 2010.

Production

The film was under production since 2009. It was shelved for some reasons which includes financial problems. It was slated for a September 2010 release, but nothing materialized out well. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi lauched the audio of the film on 18 September 2010, which was received by actor Vikram and the film is expected to be released by 12 November 2010.

Sindhu Tolani was born in Mumbai, India on 19 July 1983. She has been a Fair & Lovely cream model girl in the North as well as a successful actress

Though she has worked predominantly in the South Indian film industry, her first film was the British comedy, Stiff Upper Lips (1998). She played an Indian girl in the movie, and had a really small role.

Aithe (2003) marked her entry into Tollywood. It was a low budget film, but did exceedingly well.

Her other Telugu films include Athanokkade (2005), Gowtham SSC (2005), Paurnami (2006), Black and White (2008), Victory (2008) and Hare Ram (2008).

She has worked in 2 Kannada movies: Rishi (2005) and Snehana Preethina (2007).

Sindhu was seen in Tamil films like Sullan (2004), Manmadhan (2004), Maja (2005), Pasupathi (2007) and Pandhayam (2008).

Sindhu Tolani started her career with the Telugu movie “Aithe”. The movie was a low budget hit which first got everyone to notice her. Her first huge hit in Telugu was Athanokkade. She shot to fame at the age of 20, at her debut in the Tamil movie Sullan with Dhanush  directed by Ramana, the film went on to be a major blockbuster at B and C centres and started her career, it was released in 2004. Another hit followed in Manmadhan with Silambarasan. Since then she has appeared in many Telugu and Kannada films and recently in Majaa with Vikram. She received critical acclaim with her roles in films like Manmadhan in Tamil and Bathukamma in Telugu.

She was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai.
