The movie’s plot revolves around an edgy love story involving a street boxer who fights blindfolded and the visually challenged heroine who wants to make it big as a dancer. Lafangey Parindey (Lafange Parinde) is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra (Yash Raj Films). Music of the film is composed by R Anandh and lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. Cinematography by Natarajan Subramanian. Story, Screenplay and Dialogues by Gopi Puthran. Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma Designed the Costume for film. Ronit Sarkar, Mohit Chauhan, Anushka Manchandani, Saahil, Shilpa Rao and Suraj Jagan has sung the song for the film. Neil Nitin Mukesh (as One Shot Nandu) and Deepika Padukone (as Pinky Palkar) in lead role. Piyush Mishra, Namit Das Lafangey Parindey (Lafange Parinde) is a love story set in the gritty streets of Mumbai. The film is about bike gangs in Mumbai. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of One Shot Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring blindfolded. Actress Deepika Padukone playing the role of a Pinky Palkar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet.
‘I think I identify with the character Pinky a lot because Pinky is someone who is extremely self-assured. She is extremely confident, knows exactly what she wants. She is ambitious and she never gives up, which is exactly how I am,’ Deepika Padukone said.
She revealed that she didn’t take any form of help or guidance from the other Industry actors or actresses who have portrayed a blind character in their films before.
